Japan Subsidy Guide is run privately. It is not an official website of the Government of Japan or of any ministry, agency, local government or program office, and is not endorsed by them.

Information only

Our pages are plain-English summaries for general information. They are not legal, tax, accounting, labour or immigration advice. The official Japanese guidelines (公募要領) and the decisions of each program office always take priority.

Programs change often. We check our pages regularly, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current at the moment you read it.

No guarantee of results

Whether you are eligible, selected or paid is decided by the program office. We are not responsible for any loss arising from use of this site, including rejected applications, missed deadlines or repayment.

We do not prepare applications

We never prepare or submit applications. Only licensed gyoseishoshi (for subsidies) and sharoshi (for employment grants) may do that for a fee.
