Subsidy rules change between rounds. Here is how we keep our pages accurate — and what to do if you find a mistake.

Last updated October 26, 2026

Official sources first

  • Every amount, rate and deadline comes from an official source: the program office, the ministry or the local government
  • Every page lists its sources at the bottom, with links
  • When only secondary sources are available, we say so on the page
  • We keep the Japanese names next to the English, so you can check the original yourself

Dates and updates

  • Each page shows the date it was last checked against the official site. Dates and amounts can change between rounds, so we link to the official page — always confirm there before you apply
  • When rules change, we update the page and note what changed

Who checks our pages

Our editors check every page against the official Japanese sources. Our pages are not reviewed by a gyoseishoshi, sharoshi or other licensed professional, and they are not advice for your own case. Before you apply, confirm with the program office or a licensed expert.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to help research, draft and translate. A human editor checks every fact against the official Japanese source before a page is published.

Independence from advertisers

Advertisers and listed experts cannot change what we write about programs. Paid content is always labelled “PR”. See our PR disclosure.
