How we make money

| Paid expert listings | Experts pay a flat monthly fee to appear on our experts page. We do not charge per enquiry or per application, and we never take a share of any subsidy. Readers contact experts directly. |
| Affiliate links | If you sign up for a tool or service through some of our links, we may receive a commission. The price you pay does not change. |
How we label it
- Paid listings and affiliate sections are marked “PR”
- We follow Japan's rules against undisclosed advertising (stealth marketing) under the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (景品表示法)
What we never do
- Let advertisers change our explanations of programs
- Promise approval or recommend an expert because they pay more
- Accept money from anyone offering “free with the subsidy” schemes
- Receive payment from government bodies to promote programs
