How to get a gBizID Prime account

What gBizID is

gBizID (GビズID) is a single login for Japanese government services for businesses, run by the Digital Agency. You use it for subsidy applications, social insurance procedures and other online filings.

Option 1: apply online (fastest)

• The representative's My Number Card (マイナンバーカード)
• A smartphone that can read the card
• The gBizID app — Android 11 or later from September 30, 2026, or iPhone

Since July 9, 2026, online reviews for company representatives run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The account can be issued the same day at the fastest.

Option 2: apply by post

• The application form from the gBizID website, with your registered seal
• Companies: a seal certificate (印鑑証明書)
• Sole proprietors: a seal registration certificate (印鑑登録証明書)

Tips for foreign representatives

• Family name in 姓, given name in 名. Do not omit a middle name.
• By post, copy your name exactly as on the seal certificate — alphabet or katakana.
• A company with its head office abroad is registered at its main office in Japan, as recorded with the National Tax Agency.
• Sole proprietors applying by post enter the address on their seal registration certificate; a different shop address goes in the contact address field.

Step by step (online)

   Install the gBizID app GビズIDアプリ

   Check that your phone can read a My Number Card.

2. 02

   Start the Prime application プライムアカウントを申請する

   On the gBizID website, choose Prime and the online method.

3. 03

   Enter business and representative details 申請情報の入力

   Use the same spelling as your official records.

4. 04

   Verify with your My Number Card マイナンバーカードで本人確認

   Scan the card with the app.

5. 05

   Receive your account アカウント発行

   As fast as the same day. Set up your login method.

6. 06

   Add staff accounts if needed GビズIDメンバー

   Create Member accounts for employees who help with applications.

After you have it

• Log in with the gBizID app or an email one-time password — SMS login ended in December 2025
• Note the expiry date: accounts are valid for 2 years and 3 months from issue
• Renew from your gBizID My Page before it expires, or logins stop working
